Weight/BulkWeight/Bulk (4/5):
– Catalyst will add 1/4 inch around the entire iPhone
– Increase weight by approx. 40%(still a light case)
– Doesn’t double the thickness of your iPhone

– Fairly easy to install. Reading install instructions is a must
– Installation of the back panel requires a bit of attention to ensure o-ring is not pinched
Build QualityBuild Quality (3.5/5):
– Molded bumpers ensure that the plastic doesn’t scuff from drops

Shock ProtectionShock Protection (2.5/5):
– Provides shock protection up to 6.6 ft
– We performed 6 drops with the Catalyst. It failed one 6ft drop completely, another resulted in the back of the case coming apart slightly. iPhone was unscathed so Catalyst considers this a pass
Water/Dust ProtectionWater/Dust Protection (5/5):
– Provides water protection up to depths of 16.4 ft which is the deepest of any of the non-extreme sport cases
– Catalyst kept water out during water drops (mimics diving into the ocean)
– Headphone jack extension is not waterproof
Screen ProtectionScreen Protection (4/5):
– iPhone screen remained instant during all tests
