At Mobile Reviews Eh!, we do reviews based on actual usage. Before doing any review, we use the products in our daily lives for weeks at a time. During this review period, we measure how bulky the product is in relation to the iPhone, take note of the materials used in the construction and see how well the fit and texture work on the product.

When it comes to protection, we take note of how well it performs during drops as well as the screen protection the product offers.

When it comes to accessing your iPhone, we check if the product allows you to access your camera and buttons, if it handles well in one hand, does it work with qi-charging and most importantly, how many cards and cash can it hold. That’s 30-second summary of how we’ve figured out what the BEST wallet case for the iPhone XS is!

BEST OVERALL WALLET CASES

Mous Limitless V2 w/ Wallet
As the name suggests, the wallet is an
accessory of the Mous Limitless V2.
Unlike other case manufacturers, Mous
designed the case first then fit the
wallet accessory around it. And it shows
how great this design principle works.
Mous Limitless V2 is a very flexible case
that has a lineup of accessories worthy
of investment not just the wallet one.

The most standout feature of Mous
Limitless V2 wallet accessory is the
card slot on the back You can easily
access your most frequently used card
without even opening the wallet case.

Did we mention that Mous Limitless V2
has an insane drop protection as well?

Capacity:  4 cards + 1 cash pocket
Burkley leather cases
Leather case is an understatement for
the Burkley Leather Cases, leather is
everywhere in this case even in place
where normal case manufacturers would
put something else. The case is easily
removable from the wallet and can be
used with qi-charging.

However, Burkley Leather Case doesn’t
really offer that much protection. The
cutouts on the bottom are also a little
sharp and noticeable during one hand
usage.

Capacity: 4 cards + 1 cash pocket
Zover Detachable Leather Wallet case
Zover Detachable Leather Case is an above
average case with a soft leather and
wears down quite well. The most standout
feature of Zover Detachable Leather Case
is the removable case. which includes a
section for an extra sim card, The case
also has a cutout for magnetic mounting.

The downsides however are its latch and
poor drop protection. In the attempt to
make the case as slim as possible,
the latch won't close if you put a lot
of cards and money on the wallet.
The case doesn’t also seem to take more
than 1 meter drop.

Capacity: 3 cards + 1 cash pocket
TwelveSouth Book Book
We’ve been using BookBook cases since the
iPhone 4s and we’ve seen the cases they
sell evolve which sets them apart from an
average leather wallet case. Not to
mention the cases actually look like an
actual book. TwelveSouth Book Book also
has the same finish as the Burkley Leather
Cases.

However it should be noted that the case
doesn’t come out easily. And it seems to be
designed to be like that in the first place.
TwelveSouth Book Book also has complicated
sliding latches to use the kickstand.
Qi-charging isn’t also possible with the
case. And the worst of all, there are no
latches on the wallet to keep the cards,
money and the iPhone secure when it
accidentally drops.

Capacity: 4 card + 1 cash pocket
Silk Innovation Keeper of Things
If youʼre looking for a budget wallet
case, the Silk Innovation Keeper of Things
isnʼt a bad choice. The features that put
it above the usual wallet case is the
unique latching system. Silk Smartish
decided to use an elastic to keep
everything together rather than a button
or magnetic latch. This helps keep the
case slim while providing you with the
ability to really overstuff the wallet.

Silk was really active a couple of years
ago but last time we checked, none of
their products are on Amazon anymore.

Capacity: 3 cards + 1 cash pocket

MAX-SIZED WALLET CASES

Burkley Bi-Fold Leather case
Burkley Bi-Fold Leather case has the same
feel and features as the Burkley Leather
Case except for Burkley Bi-Fold Leather
case’s size. The case is a massive wallet
that can rival a clutch! Burkley Bi-Fold
Leather case has the highest storage
capacity we’ve ever used and is also one
the bulkiest cases we’ve ever used.

Good thing the case is removable!

Capacity: 12 cards + 2 cash pockets
Nomad Tri-Folio
Nomad Tri-Folio has a lot of flaps on
its case. The design of the case helps
you overstuff the wallet although this
makes it hard to use for time to time.
Nomad Tri-Folio uses Horween leather
which has a nice thickness and wears
quite nicely, Aside from the leather
exterior, Nomad pair it with microfibre
to minimize the thickness of the case.
We also like the finish Nomad used on
the TPU of their cases. The finish makes
the handling easier.

However, there is no latch for Nomad
Tri-Fold. Screen protection is close to
zero so be mindful of that.

Capacity: 4 cards + 2 cash pockets
UOLO Folio
UOLO Folio was one of the first wallet
cases that introduced a removable case.
The case has a nice PU leather that
handles very well. The inside on the
other hand is covered with microfibre
which makes your screen clean.
UOLO Folio is a steal at $ 35.

However it should be noted that PU
leather is not real leather and will not
last long. The top and bottom of the
case is also exposed so drops might deal
deadly damaged.

Capacity: 8 cards + 1 cash pocket

SIMPLE LEATHER COVER cases

Nodus Access Case III
Nodus Access Case III has the micro
suction technology. This technology
eliminates the need for the iPhone to sit
in a case making it a cleaner look. If
you’re not too clumsy and are looking for
a sleek looking folio, this is your case.
Just be mindful that the case has no latch
and are not as tough as other cases on
this list.

Capacity: 3 cards
Nomad Rugged Folio
We love the leather and finish of the TPU
in the Nomad Rugged Folio. Some might
think Nomad Rugged Folio is a larger
wallet case however the microfibre on the
inside actually make it feel thinner and
slim. However the lack of a latch might
not let you fully utilize the pockets of
the wallet case.

Capacity: 3 cards + cash
Apple Leather Folio
Apple Leather Folio is one of the most
expensive pieces of Apple-branded gear
we’ve ever bought. We bought ours close
to $ 200 after tax. You can buy a
multitude of other cases from this list!
The only redeeming quality of Apple
Leather Folio is being the softest out
of this list. However, even with that
merit we will still don’t get this case.

Capacity: 1 card + cash pocket

alternatives

Tech 21 Evo Check Wallet is a great case as it allows you to carry two cards in a case that might rival the drop protection of the Mous Limitless V2.

UAG Metropolis has an incredible amount of texture that will make holding your device easy while you sit on public transportation.

Otterbox Strada, like the Tech 21 Evo Check Wallet, provides your device with an incredible amount of drop protection while covering your device in actual leather. The magnetic clasp on the Otterbox Strada is quite nice.

On-The-Go Wallet Cases

Vera vCommute
Vera vCommute is just basically an iPad
smart cover on the back of a wallet case.
The Vera vCommute hides your cards with
the magnetic flap. The flap also doubles
as a stand and also allows you to mount
your iPhone on a magnetic car mount.
Our only gripe for Vera vCommute is its
bulk. The bulk makes the case hard to use
and incompatible with qi-charging.

Capacity: 3 cards
Ghostek Exec 3
Ghostek Exec 3 is an odd looking case.
Unlike Vera vCommute or its predecessor
Ghostek Exec 2, the wallet portion is on
the front of the case. Ghostek Exec 3
offers more protection to your screen
and is compatible with qi-charging.
We also like that the cover is made of
fabric. It stand out from wallet
leather cases on this list.

Capacity: 2 cards
Mujjo Leather Wallet
Mujjo Leather Wallet is a case covered
with full-grain leather. The case is simply
well-made that get its job done.
The case can hold multiple cards but we
find fighting to get the cards out on
the sleeves tedious so we normally stick
to one card on the case. However, the
edges of the case are quite low so better
get a screen protector. The bottom edge of
the iPhone is also completely exposed so
be mindful of that.

Capacity: 2-3 cards
Poetic NuBuck case
Poetic NuBuck case is the best
on-the-go case. The cloth back offers
a different feel than your typical leather
case. We found ourselves holding the case
more than we should. The only gripe we
have is the protection that it offers.
The edges are a bit lower and the case
edges are thinner. However the case is
$13 which is a steal on our book.

Capacity: 1 card
