Jetech Screen Protector Review – Budget Price, Rock-Bottom Protection

After testing more than 20 screen protectors over the last few months, we can say without hesitation that the Jetech screen protector is the worst of the bunch. Ranked dead last in our testing, it struggles in nearly every major category, especially where it matters most—protection. Sure, it has a few surprising upsides, but they’re nowhere near enough to redeem it. Let’s dig into the results.

Design

The Jetech screen protector ranks 14th in design—not great, but not quite as disastrous as other categories. It covers 93.81% of the iPhone’s front face and 100.05% of the display, which is solid. Oddly, it has a silk-screened edge, something usually reserved for more premium brands. But the edges are flat and noticeable, and there’s a small cutout at the top. Install-wise, Jetech sticks to the old-school method—no alignment frame, just a squeegee. That means dust is likely to be an issue unless you’re in a perfectly clean space.

Performance

Performance is where the Jetech screen protector actually surprised us a bit—it ranks #10 out of 20+. It retains 0.91 of the iPhone’s clarity (average is 0.9), which puts it slightly above average. It does increase glare by 9.69%, higher than the 5.64% average, but not the worst we’ve seen.

The oleophobic coating performed a bit better than expected too. Oil droplets took 38.74 seconds to slide down the screen, which is faster than the 44-second average. While there were small droplets left behind, it wasn’t terrible. Overall, the performance was just enough to put it mid-pack—unlike everything else.

Protection

Here’s where it all falls apart. The Jetech screen protector ranks 19th out of 20 in protection. It scratched at 6H on the Mohs scale, but it was by far the easiest to damage in our test group. Edge strength was horrendous—only 35.48N (average is 86.18). That’s so low, you could chip it with a fingernail. The impact score wasn’t any better—just 141.54N before it cracked, compared to the 271.44N average. It’s the weakest we’ve ever tested on an iPhone 16. Bottom line: don’t count on this thing to protect your screen.

Value

Yes, it’s cheap—$7.99 for a 3-pack—but that doesn’t matter if the product fails at its most important job. Most budget protectors use decent glass with poor coatings. Jetech does the opposite—it has okay coatings but terrible glass. That makes it practically useless. You might crack your screen protector just putting your phone in your pocket with a set of keys.

Verdict

We can’t recommend the Jetech screen protector to anyone. While its clarity and coating are okay for a budget product, its protection is so bad that it’s basically decorative. If you care even a little about durability, skip this one. There are far better options—even in the same price range.
