UltraGlass Review – Surprisingly Strong iPhone Screen Protector

If something’s called the “UltraGlass Unbreak,” it better live up to the hype—right? We had to laugh a bit at the marketing (and the name), but as always, we put it through real tests to see how it actually performs. And honestly, UltraGlass surprised us. It’s not the best of the best, but it ranks near the top in every key area—design, performance, and protection—making it one of the most well-rounded screen protectors we’ve reviewed this year.

ProsCons
Top-tier optical clarity (0.93)Increased screen glare (+8.29%)
Above-average oleophobic coatingNot made from aluminosilicate glass
Strong edge protection (150.66N)Not double-tempered glass
Solid install tools includedSmall cutout at the top
2-pack for reasonable priceFalls short of #1 in most categories

Design

We look at design in terms of size, edge shape, and installation tools—and UltraGlass Unbreak scored #4 in our rankings. On paper, it’s a pretty standard tempered glass screen protector, with no signs of aluminosilicate material or double tempering. But in terms of coverage, it does edge out the average, covering 93.62% of the iPhone’s front face. The edges are rounded and black-lined, and there’s a small cutout at the top, which may or may not matter depending on how picky you are.

Installation, however, is where UltraGlass Unbreak shines. They include a premium frame, squeegee, microfiber cloth, large and mini dust stickers—even lens wipes. It’s honestly one of the better install kits we’ve used. A lot of brands with premium frames skip the mini dust stickers for some reason, but not UltraGlass. It’s a small detail that makes a big difference.

Performance

Performance-wise, UltraGlass ranks #3 overall. The star here is clarity—it retained 0.93 of the iPhone’s display clarity, which is the best score we’ve recorded. So if sharp visuals matter to you, this one delivers. On the flip side, it does add 8.29% glare to your screen, slightly above the 5.64% average. Not a huge deal for most, but something to note—especially since our top-ranked protector cuts glare instead of adding it.

The oleophobic coating is better than average. In the oil droplet slide test, it took 59.09 seconds (vs. a 44-second average), and the droplets were larger and fewer—meaning the coating does a solid job resisting smudges. Bigger drops are actually better in this case, since they’re easier to wipe off and leave less mess behind.

Protection

This is where UltraGlass Unbreak really impressed us. It scored #2 for protection. It scratched at 7H on the Mohs scale—no damage at 6H, which is already better than most. The edges handled 150.66N of force, which is insanely good compared to the 86.18N average. We ran extra tests just to make sure those results weren’t a fluke. Spoiler—they weren’t.

In the impact test, it took 296.52N to crack the glass. That’s above average (271.44N), but not mind-blowing. That makes sense, though—it doesn’t appear to be double-tempered. Still, we’ll take strong, polished edges over ultra-tough center glass any day, especially since edge damage is what usually ruins protectors first.

Value

For $30.98, you get a 2-pack of protectors with all the extras. That’s a solid deal. It’s not the cheapest, but considering the install experience, clarity, and edge strength, we’d say it’s more than fair. The performance may not be elite in every category, but it’s good enough across the board that you’re getting real value here.

Verdict

UltraGlass Unbreak is a great option if you want a screen protector that delivers strong overall performance without breaking the bank. It’s not the absolute best in any single category—but it ranks high in all of them. The clarity is incredible, the install process is buttery smooth, and the edge strength rivals some of the toughest we’ve tested. Add in a 2-pack format, and this one’s easy to recommend.

If you’re looking for a reliable screen protector for your iPhone in 2025, UltraGlass is one of the top picks on our list—and definitely worth considering.
