Moshi iVisor AG Review – iPhone 6 & Galaxy S6

The best screen protector for a waterproof & slim case setup

(Scroll down for the written review)

Moshi iVisor AG Review – Go ahead, wash this screen protector

The AG in the Moshi iVisor AG stands for anti-glare which means it will cut back on the light reflections off your device but that same feature may render your phone useless in some instances. We consider both the iPhone and Samsung screen protectors edge to edge as they cover the glass portions and work well with most cases. Now despite the fact that this screen protector isn’t the highest rated, its one of our favourites.

For our Moshi iVisor AG Review, we’ve given them a score of 4 eh’s out of 5. They do not rate as high as the Cinder by Cupert or the iLoome ScreenMate Maxx but is quite comparable to the Fusion self-healing screen protector in terms of score (and washability). If you’re wondering what other products we’ve reviewed, head over to my website and check out the comparison tools for cases and screen protectors!

Design – Designed to be reused. A lot.

Moshi iVisor AG Review - iPhone 6/ S6 Edge - Washable

The design of the screen protector is what makes the iVisor AG’s one of our favourite screen protectors. They are thin, incredibly easy to install, fit incredibly well and don’t suffer from dust or bubbles. We generally expect this from all screen protector but its the fact that you can easily re-apply the screen protector and if it loses its stickiness, you just wash it and becomes new again!

Many people ask us “can I use a screen protector with a waterproof case” and our answer will almost always be no. Waterproof cases are usually very tight fitting so adding just bit of extra thickness may compromise the case and really, are you willing to risk your $1000 dollar iPhone or S6 with a shaky setup?

If you think you’re going to get a waterproof case and a slim case but would like a screen protector when its on the slim case, the iVisor is for you. You can remove and install as many times as you want. With glass screen protectors, unless its in perfect condition, will break during a removal and the normal PET screen protectors have a dust problem after multiple installs. The Moshi iVisor AG doesn’t suffer from either problems.

Protection – Not as tough as glass

In terms of protection, the iVisor isn’t as tough as some of the other screen protectors we’ve reviewed. It will generally hold up to coins and keys but sharper items like knives will leave a mark. The screen protector on our S6 Edge has basically been on the device for 2 months and it doesn’t show any significant wear/tear despite being tossed into Aaron’s bag, pocket and gym bags.

Functionality – Sunlight poses a problem

Moshi iVisor AG Review - Viewability - iPhone 6/ S6 Edge

In terms of functionality, this is where the iVisor AG suffers a bit. The anti-glare feature works very well but makes your device hard to use in direct sunlight. Diffusion of your iPhone isn’t noticeable but its there and due to the higher resolution screen on the S6 edge, is really noticeable.

Now, unless you’re reviewing products like us which means we have to stare at a multitude of different screens at once, you’ll learn to ignore the diffusion but you’re really not getting the full benefit of the clarity of whatever device you’re using.

Fingerprinting is not an issue at all with the iVisor AG. Regular PET screen protectors have noticeable fingerprints that smear over time and glass ones have a similar problem but the matted look of the iVisor AG sort of hides fingerprints.

Sensitivity of the screen protector is surprisingly good given that there isn’t any sort of adhesive on the back. For most non-adhesive screen protectors, we’d be complaining about the reduced sensitivity and gaps on the screen protector but that isn’t the case for the Moshi iVisor AG. Gaps are kept to a minimum and can only be found if you’re really looking for them.

The last thing we will add is that some people will prefer the feel of the matted screen protector over the semi-tacky feel of glass. Scrolling through your Facebook feed is definitely a little smother with this screen protector.

What would you say is the best anti-glare screen protector for the iphone 6/6S. Was looking into getting the tech armor one but it doesn’t offer edge to edge protection..

Hi Aaron, Brilliant reviews! Can you advise if the Moshi iVisor AG screen protector work well with the Rhinoshield Playproof case for iPhone 6s?

    Cheers ;0)
