Best MagSafe Wallets for iPhone 18 (Apple’s Didn’t Make the Cut)

By Aaron Ho, MobileReviewsEh. Tested September 2026. Published October 10, 2026.

We’ve tested over 70 MagSafe Wallets. We’ve been buying them since the iPhone 12 and every wallets gets tested using our force gauge, stuffed to the max with cards and tested against everyday usage. For this guide we measured the 30 current ones with our 2026 force method: how hard it is to slide each wallet off the phone and to lift it off a corner. The strongest held 34.6 N, the average was 22.4 N, and Apple’s own FineWoven wallet held 6.9 N. Our iPhone 18 accessories roundup covered the strongest and the thinnest; this guide covers everything else, category by category.

Best Capacity: Fantom M MagSafe Wallet, Extra Slim

Fantom M MagSafe wallet in bamboo on an iPhone 18 Pro, beside a handwritten card: 27.9 N magnetic strength, 6-7 cards, 9.8 mm, 65 g
  • 27.9 N total hold
  • 17.1 N slide-off, 10.8 N corner lift
  • 6-7 cards
  • 9.8 mm thick
  • 65 g (31% of an iPhone 18 Pro)
  • about $140 USD when tested

If you carry 6 or 7 cards every day, this is the one. Its hold is well above average, and bigger Fantom sizes exist if you need more. You do pay for it.

MOFT Snap Field Wallet (8-card): 8 cards and a softer, non-EDC look, with 16.3 N of hold. That's the bare minimum for us. Past 8 cards, every wallet we've tested gives up hold to get there. Check price on Amazon (paid link)

Best Stand Wallet: UAG Metropolis Slim Wallet (6-card), Kevlar Black

UAG Metropolis Slim MagSafe wallet in Kevlar beside its box and two iPhone 18 Pros
  • 28.4 N total hold
  • 17.2 N slide-off, 11.2 N corner lift
  • 5 cards
  • 13.8 mm thick
  • 78 g (37% of an iPhone 18 Pro)
  • about $59.95 USD when tested

For propping your iPhone up at lunch. The build quality and Kevlar finish set it apart; it's far more refined than UAG's usual tactical look. It holds 5 cards comfortably and the stand adjusts.

ESR HaloLock Magnetic Wallet (3-card): The budget pick: 29.4 N, a hair stronger, with 3 cards plus a clear ID window. It was out of stock on Amazon when we checked in October 2026. Check price on Amazon (paid link)

Best Find My Wallet: MOFT Trackable Field Wallet (Travel), Sunrise

MOFT Trackable Travel Wallet in orange with its box, which shows Apple Find My and Android support, beside two iPhone 18 Pros
  • 16.3 N total hold
  • 10.7 N slide-off, 5.6 N corner lift
  • 8 cards
  • 14.2 mm thick
  • 57 g (27% of an iPhone 18 Pro)
  • about $59 USD when tested
  • 14 location reports over 3 runs, 14 min out of date on average, never more than 39 min
  • 74 dB at 12 inches, 14 s jingle
  • Apple Find My and Google Find Hub, so it also works with Android

Every Find My wallet uses Apple’s network, so you’d expect them to behave the same. They don’t. We left them together in a parked car and checked Find My every 5 minutes, and this MOFT checked in the most, every run. The trade-off is hold: it’s the Snap Field with a tracker inside, below the field average. It charges wirelessly, so there’s no cable to find.

MOFT Trackable Tripod Wallet (Find My): The slim option: 7.1 mm with a built-in stand, 2 cards and 18.3 N of hold. It reported about every 22 minutes. Check price on Amazon (paid link)

Slowest to report: ESR Geo 5-Card Wallet (Full Find My). About one report every 44 minutes, with a 79-minute gap. It’s the loudest (77.4 dB) and holds hardest (30.7 N), so it’s less likely to get lost and harder to find when it is. Both of our original ESR Geo wallets have died: one won’t charge and one has a swollen battery. On any of these, the tracker battery quits before the wallet does.

Best All Rounder: ESR 5-Card Wallet with Stand + Finger Loop

ESR 5-card MagSafe wallet with stand and finger loop on an iPhone 18 Pro, beside a card: 31.4 N, 4 cards, 14.5 mm, 83 g
  • 31.4 N total hold
  • 20.1 N slide-off, 11.3 N corner lift
  • 4 cards
  • 14.5 mm thick
  • 83 g (39% of an iPhone 18 Pro)
  • about $28.83 USD when tested

One wallet that's also a grip and a stand: a finger loop, a fold-out stand and 4 cards, holding well above average for under $30. Of all the grip wallets, it's the most comfortable we've used.

Best Metal Wallet: Fantom M MagSafe Wallet, Extra Slim

Aaron Ho holding the Fantom M aluminum MagSafe wallet in bamboo
  • 27.9 N total hold
  • 17.1 N slide-off, 10.8 N corner lift
  • 6-7 cards
  • 9.8 mm thick
  • 65 g (31% of an iPhone 18 Pro)
  • about $140 USD when tested

Our feeds are full of metal wallet ads, so they get their own video. If you need the answer now, it's the Fantom again. The card action is the best we've used, smooth and consistent, and you can pick one card without fanning the stack. It's one of the few products that stays great over time. The drawback is the price.

  • 34.6 N total hold
  • 24.4 N slide-off, 10.2 N corner lift
  • 3 cards
  • 12 mm thick
  • 46 g (22% of an iPhone 18 Pro)
  • about $51.70 USD when tested

Best Slim Wallet: elago Magnetic Card Holder (2-card)

  • 2 cards
  • 6.4 mm thick
  • 37 g (18% of an iPhone 18 Pro)
  • about $15 USD when tested

The slimmest wallet we've tested that still holds above average, and the cheapest in this section. It stores 2 cards.

Bellroy Mag Wallet, Nightsky: If 2 cards isn't enough. Its hold is below average, but at this size that matters less. Check price on Amazon (paid link)

Peak Design Mobile Wallet Slim, Sun: Barely thicker than the elago when empty and holds far more cards, but its hold is well below average. Check price on Amazon (paid link)

Best Budget Wallet: Spigen Slim Fold MagFit, Tripod Stand

Spigen Slim Fold MagSafe wallet on an iPhone 18 Pro, beside a card: 27.6 N, 4 cards, 9.2 mm, 74 g
  • 27.6 N total hold
  • 17.9 N slide-off, 9.7 N corner lift
  • 4 cards
  • 9.2 mm thick
  • 74 g (35% of an iPhone 18 Pro)
  • about $19.99 USD when tested

About $5 per card, against a field average of almost $14, and it still holds above average. It has an adjustable tripod stand and holds 4 cards comfortably, 5 at most; Spigen sells it as a 12-card wallet.

Spigen Tintap (MagFit+): Same $5 per card, 6 cards, no stand. Check price on Amazon (paid link)

Best Tough Wallet: SUPCASE Magnetic Wallet with Stand (5-card)

SUPCASE MagSafe wallet with stand in black beside two iPhone 18 Pros
  • 27.7 N total hold
  • 19.2 N slide-off, 8.5 N corner lift
  • 5 cards
  • 15 mm thick
  • 126 g (60% of an iPhone 18 Pro)
  • about $34.60 USD when tested

Tough looking, not tougher: we didn't drop-test any of these. If you want the brick, it's this one. It's the heaviest wallet in the test, adding 60% of an iPhone 18 Pro's weight, and every gram of it holds. The Spigen Tough Armor Pro holds harder on the meter, but it's still a terrible wallet; the number isn't the whole story.

Don’t buy this: Ridge Wallet (MagSafe)

  • under 5 N total hold
  • under 5 N slide-off, under 5 N corner lift
  • 15 cards
  • 11.4 mm thick
  • 76 g (36% of an iPhone 18 Pro)
  • about $150 USD when tested

The 15-card capacity is real; the magnets are not. Both its slide-off and corner-lift hold were under 5 N, too weak for our gauge to register. Apple designed MagSafe for ease of use. Most brands design their accessories to fit the iPhone; Ridge treats your iPhone as an accessory to its wallet.

Apple FineWoven Wallet with MagSafe, Moss: people assume Apple’s own wallet holds. It held 6.9 N sliding off and under 5 N lifting a corner.

Our favorites

All 30 wallets, measured

Sorted by total hold. The field average is 22.4 N total (14.7 N slide-off, 8.6 N corner lift). “Under 5” means the gauge didn’t register.

How we tested

Digital force gauge pushing a Ridge wallet sideways off the back of a silver iPhone 18 Pro, the slide-off test
Slide-off: the force gauge pushes the wallet sideways off the phone, low on the edge.
  • Every MagSafe wallet we own, over 70, has been on the force gauge. The 30 current ones were measured with this 2026 method in September 2026; those 30 are what the numbers and averages cover. One retail unit of each, bought by us.
  • The same phone for every test, no case, with 3 cards in the wallet during the magnet tests.
  • Slide-off (shear): the wallet is pushed sideways off the back of the phone, low on the edge, until it lets go. Peak force, average of 3 readings.
  • Corner lift (peel): a clip on one corner lifts the wallet off at about 90 degrees until it lets go. Peak force, average of 3 readings.
  • Total hold is slide-off plus corner lift. The average across the 30 wallets is 22.4 N.
  • The gauge doesn't register below 5 N, so that's shown as "under 5 N".
  • Card capacity: cards added until they drop out, the wallet won't close, or the magnet can't hold the stack.
  • Weight in grams and thickness in millimetres.
  • Value: USD price divided by the number of cards it holds.
  • Find My sound: Play Sound from the Find My app, with the loudest reading on a sound meter 12 inches away, 3 tries. Jingle is how long the sound plays.
  • Find My location: the wallets were left together in a parked car while we were away, for three runs: about an hour nearby, 11 km away and half a km away. We checked Find My's "last seen" every 5 minutes, counting how often each wallet sent a new location and how out of date it got.
  • Card access, comfort and the stand are our own calls from daily use.

Not tested: drop protection, long-term magnet wear.
