Spigen Neo Hybrid Review – Galaxy S7 (and S7 Edge)

The Spigen Neo Hybrid is a two piece case that that comes in a variety of different setups. For the iPhone, we’ve reviewed the Neo Hybrid Carbon and Metal variants and in generaly, we like them. In fact, the Neo Hybrid Carbon is one of our favourite cases for the iPhone 6s Plus. For the S7, we have two versions, the normal Neo Hybrid and the Neo Hybrid Crystal. As of this review, the Neo Hybrid is drop-rated whereas the Neo Hybrid Crystal isn’t though its a pretty solid case.

For the normal Neo Hybrid, the case fits well together. The back of the case has a lot of texture which makes the case feel a bit more stable with one-handed usage. The one-handed usage is also improved by the tapered edges on the case. The texture on the back of the case isn’t as grippy as we like so it will slide around a bit if placed back first.

The Neo Hybrid Crystal has the same setup as the Neo Hybrid and except the bulk of the case is transparent which results in fingerprinting issues. The issues aren’t as apparent as fingerprinting on the the Ultra Hybrid and Crystal Shell due to the slight pattern on the back. The clear back isn’t raised off a flat surface so scratches will show up over time.

For our Spigen Neo Hybrid Review, we’ve given this S7 case a score of 3.7 Eh’s out of 5 (the Crystal version scored 3.4 due to the lack of drop protection and increased wear/tear). The Neo Hybrid is an average case from our perspective as it scores lower than the Tough, Slim Armors as well as the Otterbox Commuter.
