When the Torras 360 Click Lock first launched, it genuinely felt like one of the better early options you could grab. But now that we’ve spent a full month testing it and dropped it over 30 times as part of our 50-case series it’s clear this case hasn’t aged well. Honestly, there’s one fatal flaw that keeps it from being a worthwhile pick today, even if it started strong.

Our case testing procedure for the iPhone 17’s:
- Buy the case ourselves
- Measure all the physical dimensions of the case:
- Weight
- Size
- Back rigidity
- Corner/Back Thickness
- Corner compression
- Rank the handling and access of the iPhone in the case
- Perform magnetic strength tests using a force meter
- Perform audio tests (if needed using a DB meter)
- Perform 30 corner, face and camera lump drop tests. This data is collected from the iPhone’s accelerometer and gyroscope. We’ve built custom drop rigs to ensure every drop almost identical. To gauge the iPhone’s protective abilities, we measure:
- Average peak deceleration
- Average decay rate
- Average impulse
- Average max rotation
- Average angular displacement
- Average settling time
- After we collect all the data, we then run it through or scoring formula to figure out how well the case ranks.
We’ve got a few more ideas to implement for the next round of iPhone’s including more data collection during drops as well as high speed camera photos of the initial impacts.

The Torras 360 Click Lock is basically your standard TPU frame wrapped around a PC back, but it takes a few swings at being more than that. There’s a matte texture along the sides, tiny feet on the bottom to prop the phone up, and of course the built-in stand that opens downward and rotates. The stand alone weighs more than it looks, which explains why the whole thing adds 53g and increases your phone’s size by about 65%.
What surprised us most is how loose this one feels. The top is crazy flexible, and even though Torras improved this in the newer revision, this version still lifts way too easily. At its thinnest point the edge is just 1.7mm, which directly contributes to that looseness. It’s not terrible visually, but as far as construction goes, it’s not confidence-inspiring.

Even with the added matte finish, handling isn’t great. The case is slick, and while the chamfered edge does make it feel thinner in hand, the grip overall is pretty lame. The flow-through buttons are soft and rounded—too rounded, honestly—and the camera control button is covered. Screen access is fine, nothing special, and the large port cutout won’t bother anyone with thin fingers.
MagSafe is where things fall apart. Because the magnets are built into the rotating stand, there’s a real chance you’ll yank the stand open accidentally when detaching accessories. The updated stand helps a bit, but our numbers don’t lie: 6.5N to pull, 8.8N to push which 23% below average. For a “Click Lock” case, the magnetic performance just doesn’t click.

The protective design is a weird mix of overbuilt and under-secured. The corners measure 2.5mm thick and the back is a hefty 3.5mm, which makes sense given the integrated stand. There are air bags in the edges, which should help except the top of the case is so loose it only took 11N to peel it back. Average is around 25N. That alone introduces huge risks.
Bend strength clocked in at 28N, which would’ve been average earlier in our testing, but after completing the last five (all of which were extremely rigid), this now sits about 10% below average. So the structure isn’t terrible, but it’s definitely not great.
Value
If this case launched today, it wouldn’t stand a chance in its price bracket. At release, sure it was available early, it had a unique stand, and for a moment it felt like one of the better choices out of the gate. But once we stacked it against dozens of newer cases with stronger fits, cleaner MagSafe execution, and safer drop performance, that early shine wore off fast. There are simply better cases now for the same money.
Verdict
Would we use this case if we weren’t reviewers? On day one of the iPhone launch maybe. But today? Nope. The loose top, weak MagSafe, heavy bulk, and a complete failure in face-first drops make it really hard to recommend. It started strong, but the month of testing exposed too many flaws for it to keep up in 2025.
