At Mobile Reviews Eh!, we do tests and use the products in our everyday lives for days even weeks before doing an actual review.  We’ve been reviewing cases for years now from $1 AliExpress cases to $300 Element cases, from fidget spinner cases to multi-tool cases, we’ve seen it all. You won’t find another Top 10 iPhone 11 Case list that’s based on actual usage.

When it comes to ranking iPhone cases, our general line of thought is this: Average scores go to cases that just cover your iPhone and make it mildly annoying to use. Above-average cases allow you to use your iPhone as is. The best cases are the ones that don’t get in the way and will enable you to take your iPhone further.

NOTE: Certain cases will work better for the iPhone 11 than the iPhone 11 Pros. Please keep a lookout when we say those details below. Also, some of the cases shown in this list are for last years iPhone’s, but since the general dimensions of the iPhone haven’t really changed in the previous couple of years, it means the new cases won’t be that much different either.

If you like how we do our reviews, please consider buying the products on the links scattered on this article. With the products that we like, we try to negotiate discount codes for you guys to use so make sure you use them.

The Mous Limitless 3.0 is a well-made, smartly designed, and tough case. We didn’t have a lot of success with the first round of Mous cases but the redesigned 2.0 version was spectacular. The 3.0 version? Even better!

This case can take a beating. In our re-review of the Mous Limitless 2.0, we took it through a gauntlet of drops ranging from 4 ft to 13 ft and we still had a working iPhone. With the Mous Limitless 3.0,the sky’s the limit!

Apart from being tough while still letting you use your iPhone, Mous designed the Mous Limitless 3.0 with a series of magnets on the back for their accessories. And the one accessory that stands out for us is the flip wallet case. The flip wallet case has been updated for the Mous Limitless 3.0 with the card slot on the outside of the case now being placed in a stealthier location, the inside of the case pocket.

iPhone accessories that let you take your iPhone further scores big points for us which is why the Mous Limitless 3.0 is the #1 case in our Top 10 iPhone 11 Cases list!

If you’re looking for a clear case, check out the Mous Clarity. The case isn’t as tough as the Mous Limitless 3.0 but that won’t matter unless you’re tossing your iPhone around like a frisbee.

Mous has also released the Mous Contour which is a sleeker, slimmer case that has no magnets. Maybe that one would suit your needs better.

The most significant benefit of the Rhinoshield lineup of cases is the ability to customize the look of them. For example, with the Rhinoshield SolidSuit, we can get the black leather version and add red or white buttons to it to add a splash of color. Our actual go-to combination for the Rhinoshield Solidsuit is the yellow buttons on the grey microfibre cloth back case.

For the iPhone 11, Rhinoshield has a classic black case to their lineup, and the back of that case feels like a piece of rubber which oddly greatly improves the handling of the iPhone 11.

If we went with the Rhinoshield MOD NX, the sky’s the limit with color combinations. If you want to make your iPhone 11 and 11 Pro’s standout without resorting to glittery things, go with the Rhinoshield MOD NX.

The Rhinoshield MOD NX is also the only case in this list that allows you to customize the back of the clear panel of the MOD NX and certain parts of the SolidSuit.

Rhinoshield’s products are tough as nails as the case will protect from a multitude of drops, and their plastic impact protection screen protector can provide a crazy amount for your screen.

MUST HAVES: If you like Rhinoshield’s iPhone cases, check the newly released Apple Watch cases by Rhinoshield. The Rhinoshield Apple Watch cases are just as nice to use and add even more flair to your Apple device setup!

3. Catalyst Impact Protection

PROS

  • Tough
  • Thin
  • Amazing buttons/mute switch

CONS

  • Wide
  • Back will scratch
  • Case edge gets dirty over time

Catalyst Impact Protection is one of the few cases that we’d feel comfortable dropping our $1000 iPhones from 10 ft, consistently. The Catalyst Impact Protection looks like it would handle like a bar of soap, but it doesn’t. We love the buttons on this case, especially the mute switch. The back will scratch a little easier than other cases so it’s not raised much; But that’s just us nitpicking.

We do have to point out how well Catalyst Impact Protection handles. The buttons are top notch, the rotary mute switch is nice to use and the colored edge isn’t slick despite looking like it should be. Also, you can attach a wrist strap to the case. The edges of the cases gets worn out over time however, so keep that in mind.

MUST HAVE: If you’re looking for a case for your AirPods that doesn’t look like something out of a cartoon, their AirPod case is also highly rated. Check out the other AirPod cases we compared the Catalyst case to!

Hands down, this is the most useful case we have ever used. Honestly, it boggles our mind that they are not popular because they are way better than a PopSocket or OtterPop. Loopy Case is easier to use than the most ring products and cloth loops.

Our entire family will only use Loopy cases. Think about that, we have hundreds of cases for them to choose, and they all default to the case that gives your iPhone a mild hump, which will work on most Qi-changers. Our only gripe is that car mounts do not work well with the Loopy Case.

Loopy Case has improved the buttons on the case over the last couple of years, and there are two versions of the case, a normal Loopy and the Loopy Max which is drop-rated to 6ft. Even the clumsiest person is going to have their iPhone protected whether their finger is in the loop or not. If you’re going with the iPhone 11, the Loopy Case should be at the top of your list.

5. Pitaka MagCase Pro

  • Maximizes the functionality of your iPhone
  • Stops the drop!

  • Your iPhone ends up having a hump

From a handling perspective, the Pitaka MagCase Pro handles almost as good as the Speck Presidio Grip. The main reason why it scores higher than the Speck Presidio Grip is the fact that the magnets on the Pitaka MagCase Pro allow you to use it with Qi-chargers as well as magnetic car mounts. The  Pitaka MagCase Pro has a carbon fiber back which improves the look of the case. The back is raised and will not scratch as easily as other carbon fiber cases.

The back of the case has a bit of foam which will improve the drop protection of the iPhone’s glass back.

We’ve used a similar product from Simply Carbon Fibre, and honestly, the Simply Carbon Fibre case doesn’t even come close to the Pitaka MagCase Pro case. Both are priced at a premium level but the Pitaka MagCase Pro is so much better. Better designed, tougher and the edges of the case aren’t terrible.

6. Moshi Altra

PROS

  • Back feels amazing (so much texture)
  • Wrist strap accent is nice

CONS

  • Edges are mildly slick

Score

4.2 EH’S OUT OF 5

GET THEM NOW ON AMAZON!

The Moshi Altra is a unique case. There is so much texture on the back of the case, and it’s hard to find a sturdy, mixed material case that isn’t dull leather or carbon fiber.

The edge of the Moshi Altra has a bit of TPU on the front which helps with the handling of the devices, but the PC edge is still quite slick. The texture of the back does offset the slickness a bit, but all of this is going to be a moot point if you’re using the wrist-strap with the case. The strap is quite thick but you don’t have to use it if you don’t want to.

The Moshi Altra is also drop-rated to MilStd 810G, and the edges of the case are high enough to keep a device with a screen protector off a flat surface.

As we’re finishing up this post, we’ve gotten several new cases that will most likely show up in our Top 10 iPhone 11 Cases list. Products from Ballistic look really promising!

7. UAG Monarch

FULL REVIEW HERE!

PROS

  • Fancy looking case
  • Lots of texture

CONS

  • Thicker than the average case
  • Edges are noticeable

Score

4.2 EH’S OUT OF 5

GET THEM NOW ON AMAZON!

The UAG Monarch is on this list because like the Speck Presidio Grip, it has a lot of texture to the case. But UAG Monarch isn’t as grippy as the Speck Presidio Grip. The UAG Monarch, like most UAG products, have a lot of attitude to them so your iPhone will feel and look different.

Our biggest issue with the UAG Monarch are the edges. The heavily rounded edges are annoying to use, especially when most cases are going with a tapered edge. The tapered angle improves the gesturing aspect of your iPhone.

We’re glad UAG moved away from using actual metal screws in the case as they were loose in the case.

Now if you have an iPhone 11, this case would be lower on this list because of the edges. Thicker iPhone and noticeable edges are two things that do not go well together.

8. Speck Presidio Grip

FULL REVIEW HERE!

PROS

  • Great handling
  • Unique design

CONS

  • Don’t drop it face first from 10 ft
  • Certain wear issues

Score

4.2 EH’S OUT OF 5

GET THEM NOW ON AMAZON!

The Speck Presidio Grip is the 2nd best handling case on this list. The case will suffer slightly higher wear and tear issues as the rubber edges may rub off over time. These rubber ridges aren’t glued to the case. It’s part of the TPU that gets injected from the inside of the case. Speck Presidio Grip is not poorly designed as people make them out to be.

The Speck Presidio Grip isn’t bulky, and your iPhone will feel solid in it. The front edge of the case is excellent as the TPU adds to the handling of the iPhone. The Speck Presidio Grip is going to be better for the iPhone 11 than the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max because the iPhone 11 is a tiny bit thicker. That added thickness is surprisingly noticeable between the two different phone sizes.

If you think that other Speck cases are good, well, you’re wrong because the Presidio Ultra, a tough case, is outright terrible and the Speck Presidio Clear handles like a wet bar of soap.

9. Spigen Tough Armor

PROS

  • Affordable
  • Handles well
  • A known quantity

CONS

  • A little boring

Score

4.2 EH’S OUT OF 5

The Spigen Tough Armor should be on everyone’s list as a go-to case if you don’t know which one to get or you just don’t really care how the case looks on your device. We’ve been reviewing them for years across a variety of devices, and they hold up well.

With the 2019 iPhone 11 version, Spigen has made a couple of small changes with the most noticeable one being the addition of some impact-absorbing foam on the back of the case. This foam will also help with potential back-scratching.

Make sure you get a darker colored case as the coatings on specific colors may not handle as well. Also, Spigen Tough Armor is the only one on this list that has a kickstand.

10. Ghostek Atomic Slim 3

PROS

  • Metal frame
  • Unique design
  • Tough

CONS

  • Minor handling issues.
  • Metal bumper will show wear and tear quicker

Score

4.2 EH’S OUT OF 5

The Ghostek Atomic Slim 3 is an evolution of the old Atomicʼs which were waterproof cases that had an aluminum bumper. Those were tanks in terms of waterproof cases.

The Atomic Slim 2 was already a tank, but Ghostek added another layer of impact foam called R7x which is supposed to be good up to 50 ft. We haven’t tested it yet but we’re planning to in the near future. But as of right now, a 6ft drop with a brand new iPhone 11 Pro Max on a Ghostek Atomic Slim 3 is perfectly fine. And depending where you drop your iPhone 11, the metal bumper might get scuffed up a little bit.

The Ghostek Atomic Slim 3 sets itself apart in terms of design as Ghostek has done a great job fusing clear PC, TPU and aluminum together. The edges of the case is high enough to keep the screen off and Ghostek has added a strip of TPU along the side which helps with the handing of the product.

Our only gripe is that the buttons arenʼt as responsive as the other cases in this list.
