The Griffin Survivor Journey for the Galaxy S7 is one of the tougher cases that we’ve reviewed. We say this because its one of the few cases that are drop-rated to 6.6 ft or 2m but this additional drop protection results in the Journey being one of the larger S7 cases. Esepcially when compared to another Griffin S7 case, the Survivor Clear.

For our Griffin Survivor Journey review for the Galaxy S7, we’ve given this S7 case a score of 3.9 Eh’s out of 5. It scores lower than the Griffin Survivor Clear which at the time of this writing, is #3 in our Top 10 cases for the Galaxy S7. For build quality, the only thing of note is the both sides are a tad slippery which means the S7 might slide around a bit on a flat surface. The odd thing is that despite being a little slick, the texture on the case makes it relatively easy to use in your hands.

As we mentioned earlier, the size of the case helps with the drop protection at 6.6ft or 2m. The only downside is that the Journey doesn’t come with a screen protector, but most S7 cases don’t.

We didn’t have any issues accessing the Galaxy S7 in the Griffin Journey. Button access is excellent despite being a larger case; edges don’t get in the way of accessing the S7’s screen, and the ports and camera are easily accessible.
