Today we’re going to review another 1-handed usage tool called the PopSocket. The PopSocket is unique as it requires you to pop it open to use.
The extended socket allows you to hold your iPhone easily in one hand and doubles as a stand. If you spend a lot of time gaming on your device, this might be one of the better 1-handed usage products for you.
For our PopSockets review, we’ve given this 1-handed smartphone accessory a score of 4 Eh’s out of 5. It has the same score as the Spigen Style Ring, Ungrip, and Loopy cases but there are a couple of areas where the Pop Socket performs better those other products that aren’t taken into account in the scoring system. If you’re looking to see a side by side comparison of these 1-handed smartphone aids, check out the comparison tool.

To use the product, all you have to do is to pull the socket out. This can be accomplished by one hand though it is easier with two. The PopSocket also doubles as a stand which is a big plus over the Ungrip and to a certain extent, the Spigen Style ring. The one complaint we do have with the design of the product is the cap on the end of the Pop Socket feels a little sharp. The sharp cap shouldn’t be a problem for most people, but it is something we’ve noticed.
The PopSocket does make a bit of noise when you pull it out which really shouldn’t be an issue unless you’re like Aaron, who likes to fiddle with stuff while he sits around, staring at Monty.

The PopSocket doesn’t offer as much drop protection as other products such as the Ungrip and Loopy case because your fingers aren’t physically attached to your iPhone. Dropping the iPhone while using the PopSocket is going to be unlikely but it’s still worth noting.

Again, for our PopSockets Review, we gave this one-handed usage accessory a score of 3.8 Eh’s out of 5. Have questions? Please ask them on our Google+ page or our Facebook page or our About Us page.

Hey Aaron, I've been trying to decide between an Ungrip or a PopSocket. I thought of attaching a Ungrip on a PopSocket, which would allow me to move the Ungrip without reapplying an adhesive, and get the best of both worlds (excluding the functions of the PopClip). However, I'm a bit concerned about the thickness of the two stacked on top of each other. Do you think my idea will work? Thanks!
I think that would get in the way. Both products are very noticeable on a device and have two stacked up on each other would make the device awkward to use in my opinion.
If sour looking at this just for some Information about popsockets there a great thing for you're phone but I have a iPhone se which is the same size as a five so it's just more annoying to have if you have a small phone like me
I'm am looking at Caseology cases. They have textured backs. I heard you say silicone and waterproof cases aren't compatible, right? What about textures?
They should be fine.
