The Cinder by Cupert is one of the best screen protectors that we’ve ever used. If Mobile Reviews Eh was to stop, this would be the screen protector we would want on all our devices.
This is a true edge to edge screen protector made entirely out of glass which is pretty unbelievable and its one of the few screen protectors that doesn’t feel like its there. It fits incredibly well, feels great and despite being an edge-to-edge screen protector fits almost every case that we’ve reviewed.
For our Cinder screen protector review, we’ve given it a score of 4.4 Eh’s out of 5. This is the current champion of screen protectors as it beats out the iLoome ScreenMate Maxx, another edge to edge screen protector and the Sir Lancelot.

The design of this tempered glass screen protector is impressive. It’s beautiful. The screen protector itself is less than .2mm thick but with the rounded edges, you can’t really figure out how thick it is when you’re using it.
We didn’t have any issues with the installation of the screen protector and the adhesive on the back allowed us to remove dust (if it was there). Taking the screen protector on/off didn’t result in any cracking and bubbling was non existent.
The fit of the screen protector is very impressive. The rounded edges of along the screen protector fit the iPhone very well and makes the protector seem like part of the case rather than an accessory. The cutout for the Touch ID is completely surrounded and since its all glass, you won’t have bending issues like you would find on the iLoome ScreenMate Maxx (a glass/metal hybrid screen protector).

In terms of protection, this screen protector has 9H hardness and is strong enough to withstand a medium strike from a hammer. The prototype unit that we have withstood several weeks of going in various pockets and bags and came out unscathed after a decent scratching with a knife.
In terms of chipping, the rounded edges reduce the chances that the edges of the screen protector will chip. The average glass screen protector has a 90 degree edge at the end of the screen protector so any sort of pressure will result in the edge chipping. The Cinder, with its curved edge will minimize this from happening.
The Cinder will add another level of impact protection as it any screen shattering blow will be absorbed by the Cinder. We took a hammer and strike several times without any impact on the iPhone.

In terms of using your iPhone’s touch screen, it covers the whole thing so usability isn’t an issue. In fact, as we mentioned above, this product is so good you won’t notice it there. The coatings on the screen protector aren’t sticky and the Cinder does a good job of keeping fingerprint smudging to a minimum. The clarity of your iPhone’s touchscreen is maintained so you won’t have to deal with any extra glare or reflections that occur with other plastic screen protectors.

Aaron, can you find out from the folks who sent this to you if it will work on the 6s and 6s plus, or if they're working on a different variant for those models. The measurements are a hair different but a lot of companies are now marketing their protectors to work on the regular 6 and 6 plus as well as the corresponding "s" models. Thanks in advance.
Yes as the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus are the same models as the normal iPhone 6 and 6 plus. Nothing changed on the iPhone models itself.
So your review of the Cinder protective glass screen for the iPhone 6S Plus states that it is due out soon. So when will it be available and where can you buy it?
I believe they are out...Amazon would be your best bet but I know that Cupert is low on their supplies.
They are vaporware. Amazon has prohibited Cupert tech from selling because they cannot deliver. Cupert has raised pricing and is taking orders from their website, but NO CINDERS have been shipped.
Thanks for the info. I know they ran into production problems...but they have shipped Cinder. I have one and not the review one they gave me.
CINDERhas shipped their products. I received mine today. Their "new" CINDERs are better than the originals. The company seems to have had a less than desired start up, but they do deliver on their products.

Aaron/ It would be great if you could add any additional cases you tested to this list. The biggest problem with these edge to edge screen protectors is knowing if they'll fit the case you're using, or knowing which case to buy that will fit. I was surprised to see that the Spigen Tough Armor didn't work, as it worked in your review of the iLoome ScreenMate Max, which i would have thought was very similar. Perhaps the edges of the ScreenMate are thinner?

The Tough Armor did work but it took a bit of effort to pull the lip of the case over the glass screen protector. Same with the DualPro.
6s Plus, Cinder, and Thule x3 work?
It should. Check with Cupert Tech to make sure.
Griffen survivor core doesn't fit at all . Contstantly lifts up screen protector.
Have you tried this screen protector with an otterbox resurgence?

1. have you tried this with the Thule X4 for the IPhone 6S+
2. With the Thule X4 for IPhone 6s+ do you know anyone who makes a belt clip that would work?

1. It should work together. The 6S's aren't out yet so I can't say for sure.
2. I haven't come across any belt clips that would work well with the Thule.

Will this screen protector work with a lifeproof nude on an IPhone 6?
Nope. I tried and the cutout is just a tad too big to have a solid seal between the case and the screen protector.

It would for a bumper setup. The back is still exposed if you're worried about it (I don't).
Hi Aaron. Does the Speck CandyShell grip case work with iPhone 6? Another reviewer mentioned that it doesn't, although her review was done on a 6+ only. Could you check and see if it fits just the regular 6? Thanks.
