Tech 21 Evo Wallet Review – Galaxy S7 (and S7 Edge)

The Tech21 Evo Wallet is one of the highest rated S7 cases we’ve come across. Despite being massive in size, the added functionality and extra screen protection really helps the Evo Wallet in terms of the score we gave it. The folio portion of the case attaches magnetically to the case but the actual flap increase the chances that the device will slide of a flat surface. The weight of the case is definitely noticeable on the S7 Edge and sides of the case are quite slick.

In addition to the protection provided all Tech 21 products, the folio portion of the case will provide extra protection for your screen which is nice since the Tech 21 Evo Check and Evo Tactical don’t come with screen protectors.

Functionality is where the Evo Wallet shines. Surprisingly, the Evo Wallet allows you to easily access the S7’s power/sleep button (which is not the case for the Tech 21 Evo Check and Tactical). In terms of the wallet, we would recommend using 2 cards or 1 card and cash as anything more will make closing the folio problematic.

For our Tech 21 Evo Wallet review, we’ve given this S7 case a score 4.1 Eh’s out of 5. For other S7 Tech 21 products, check out our Evo Check and Evo Tactical Reviews. We’ve also reviewed cases from Spigen and Otterbox.

Need help picking the right Galaxy S7 case?

From our experience with a dozen Spigen and several Otterbox cases, here’s are a couple of other use-cases:

  • Grippy – Tech 21 Evo Check, Spigen Tough Armor/Slim Armor
  • Wallet Case – Spigen Wallet S, Otterbox Strada
  • Clear-backed case – Tech 21 Evo Check, Otterbox Symmetry, Spigen Liquid Crystal, Spigen Ultra Hybrid

Again, for our Spigen Wallet S Review, we gave this case a score of 4.1 Eh’s out of 5. Have questions about our post? Please ask them on our Google+ page or our Facebook page or our About Us page.

  • Good case and seems sturdy and a fair price, only complaint is that if you are right handed it does take a while to adjust to it. It would have been more comfortable and easier to use if it opened left to right or given the option of left or right opener when purchasing but that would probably increase the price, otherwise it's ok.

  • Interesting reviews.
    I have a suggestion

please add checking how well you can use a Qi wireless charger / with or without magnetic holder when you test the cases.

Can you charge wirelessly with this case?

Can you fit it to a magnetic holder - will it stay or will it fall off?

Can you fit it to a magnetic holder which has Qi charging - and will it charge and will it stay or fall off ?
