Thanotech E2E Review – iPhone 6

The Thanotech E2E is the perfect screen protector for the K11 Bumper. Not by itself though…

Thanotech E2E Review – Super thin but there’s an edge…

Today we’re going to do a review of Thanotech’s E2E glass. This is an edge to edge screen protector that that’s made from higher quality glass than the average tempered glass screen protector. Its quite case friendly, especially when compared to other screen protectors and it fits perfectly with Thanotech’s K11 bumper.

There is a drawback to the screen protector as the design of the edges is a problem if you don’t plan on using a case with it.

For our Thanotech E2E review, we’ve given it a score of 4 Ehs out of 5 which makes it an above average screen protector. It’s on par with the iLoome Screen mate and Sir Lancelot Holy Grail but scores a little lower than one of the recent favourites, the ITG by Patchworks. If you need other alternatives, check out the comparison tool!

Design – Now that’s a thin screen protector

In terms of design, installation of the screen protector is like most every other screen protector. We used the same process as our install video and had no issues. There were no issues with bubbling and dust isn’t been a problem.

This screen protector does offer full edge-to-edge screen protection and is one of the thinner glass screen protectors out there at .2mm, but it does feel a littler thicker because of its edge which is unique. If you look closely in the video, the edge tapers in towards the iPhone which allows it to fit perfectly with the K11 as it prevents dust/debris from collecting. The design of the screen protector also means that the E2E will play better with other cases.

The sharpness makes it feel thicker than it is but because of the design, the screen protector will chip easier if it is not used with a case, so we don’t recommend this screen protector without a case.

The E2E chipping shouldn’t be an issue if you use the screen protector with a case as the screen protector on our 6S Plus has been on the device for almost six weeks and hasn’t been an issue.

Protection – Will take anything your pockets can throw at it

In terms of protection, the E2E has 9H hardness which means keys, coins and basically anything in your pocket isn’t going to leave a scratch.

Functionality – No issues here

We had no issue with accessing our iPhones under the E2E glass. Viewability is decent though the fingerprinting doesn’t seem as strong as other screen protectors. There was no sensitivity loss anywhere on the screen protector and the edges are all rounded around the Touch ID area.

Again, for our Thanotech E2E Review, we gave this glass screen protector a score of 3.9 Eh’s out of 5. Have questions? Please ask them on our Google+ page or our Facebook page or our About Us page.
