Best MagSafe Wallet For The iPhone 14

To figure out what the best MagSafe Wallets are for the iPhone 14, we rank them based on how well the wallet stays on, the number of cards you can fit in the wallet, and any extras like stand features and phone grips.

Top Pick - PopWallet+

@mobilereviewseh

iPhone wallet accessories were borserline twrrible before MagSafe. Not anymore!

♬ original sound - MobileReviewsEh

PopWallet+ is the most useful MagSafe accessory that you can buy for your new iPhone 14.  We’ve been using it for the last three years and it might be the perfect accessory.

It functions as both a phone grip, stand and wallet. And the crazy thing is that each one of the functions works well. The wallet can hold 3-4 cards easily, the PopSocket phone grip is comfortable and doubles as the stand.

However, the PopWallet+ doesn’t have a strong magnetic MagSafe connection as the PopGrip. It’s not much of a dealbreaker. That’s the only downside that we have for this absolute must-have iPhone 14 accessory.

PROS

CONS

Runner Up #1 - MagBak Wallet

If you’re looking for a sleek and stylish way to carry your cards, the MagBak Wallet is a great option. This wallet can hold 5-6 cards comfortably. The cards are split between two sections with each section having a cutout for quick access. The MagBak Wallet includes a phone grip loop, and unlike other phone grip loops, you can adjust the size of the loop.

The MagSafe feature also makes it easy to access your cards, so you can quickly grab what you need and go. The leather on the MagBak wallet will develop a patina over time, giving it a unique and stylish look that will only get better with age.

NOTE: To get the full functionality of the MagBak Wallet, you’ll need to get a MagBak case which then allows you to use the wallet as a stand for both portrait and landscape modes. We prefer the silicone MagBak iPhone 14 case over the clear case.

PROS

CONS

Runner Up #2 - Moft Snap-On Stand & Wallet

The Moft Snap-On Stand & Wallet is similar to the PopWallet+ on paper. This Moft wallet tries to be a phone grip, stand, and wallet. But it doesn’t do any of these things particularly well.

Our biggest complaint is that the magnetic connection between the MagSafe back of the iPhone and the Moft Wallet is quite weak. It’s strong enough that it doesn’t fall off, but any sort of mild pressure on the wallet will cause it to slide.

Best MagSafe Battery Bank For The iPhone 14

To figure out what the best MagSafe battery banks are for the iPhone 14, we ranked them by stated capacity, tested capacity, charge speeds, size, and bonus features. We tested portable MagSafe battery products from Apple, Mophie, Logixx, Anker, Pitaka and various Amazon brands.

If you want to see the full breakdown, check out what we think are the Top 5 MagSafe Battery Banks.

Top Pick - Anker MagGo 5k

@mobilereviewseh

Best MagSafe Power Bank? Anker MagGo 622 MagSafe Battery Pack #tech #apple #magsafe

♬ original sound - MobileReviewsEh

Anker MagGo’s slim size, coupled with the built-in stand, is what makes this product shine.

The built-in stand offers one viewing angle (two if you’re in a pinch). The stand itself is rather ingenious as it mimics the functionality of Apple’s own iPad SmartCovers. The stand is stable enough to support even the largest iPhones in both portrait and landscape orientations.

However, the average wireless charge rates and magnetic strength of the battery pack are issues of note but aren’t deal breakers. The average MagSafe battery pack will come off quite easily due to a small drop or even while using your iPhone 14 with the charger on.

The last thing we’ll note is the charge port is on the bottom of the battery pack so you can’t charge your iPhone and the battery pack at the same time.

PROS

CONS

Runner Up #1 - ESR Halolock Wireless Power Bank

The ESR Halolock Wireless Power Bank is going to be the best bang for your buck. We paid around $40 dollars for this 10000mah power bank which is almost 1/2 the price of the Anker product.

The standout feature for us is how strong the magnetic connection is on the back of the iPhone. When the battery pack magnetically connect, it feels solid. You don’t have to “baby” the battery pack while using your device.

The large capacity also allows you to almost double the battery life of the iPhone 14 Pro Max, and the Halolock Wireless Power Bank also allows for flow-through charging, allowing you to charge another device through the USB-C Port.

PROS

CONS

Runner Up #2 - Mophie Snap+Powersstation Stand

The Mophie Snap+Powerstation Stand is physically one of the biggest MagSafe battery products that we’ve reviewed. But for good reason. Mophie Snap+Powerstation Stand includes a sturdy, swinging stand for both landscape and portrait viewing and a tripod mount.

The battery is marketed with a 10000 mah theoretical capacity with a maximum wireless output of 12W. Charging this monstrosity from a dead battery takes only  close to 3 hours.

The biggest con for Mophie Snap+Powerstation Stand is the magnetic holding strength. Out of all the products that we used, the iPhone came off the easiest in Mophie Snap+Powerstation Stand. This is a concern if you’re using the Max version of the iPhone.

Best MagSafe Chargers For The iPhone 14

Is it worth getting a MagSafe charger? Absolutely. Having the charger magnetically attach to the right location ensures that your iPhone 14 gets the best charge. “Made for MagSafe” chargers also provides your iPhone with 15W of wireless charging, which is twice as fast as what Apple allowed for with older iPhones.

Here are our top picks out of chargers, based on their charge speeds, temperature, size , and bonus features.

Top Pick - Apple MagSafe Charger

When it comes to MagSafe Wireless Charging, nothing beats the Apple MagSafe Charger. It’s actually the only product in our collection of wireless chargers that actually provides 15W of wireless charging. This makes sense since it’s one of the few products that’s actually “Made For MagSafe”. Your iPhone knows the difference.

Based on our tests, we got on average, an extra 30% of charge when using the Apple MagSafe Charger, which is crazy. The biggest downside of this product, however, is the Apple Tax. It’s going to cost you $40 dollars which is more than twice as Anker PowerMate Magnetic Pad Lite, which is our first runner-up.

Mobile Reviews Eh Score:
4.5/5

PROS

CONS

Runner Up #1 - Anker PowerWave Magnetic Pad Lite

The Anker PowerWave Magnetic Pad Lite is one of the most affordable wireless chargers on the market. It is half the price of the Apple MagSafe charger, yet it provides almost 85% of the Apple products charge speeds. However, this Anker charger runs hotter than the average MagSafe compatible charger.

The charging puck is larger than average, which can make it difficult to keep in place and the rounded bottom allows it to slide around more easily. Your iPhone 14 is also going to wobble on the charger because of the rounded bottom.

Overall, the Anker Magnetic Pad Life is a great value and an excellent choice for anyone looking for an affordable wireless charger.

PROS

CONS

Runner Up #2 - Uolo Volt 15W Magnetic Wireless Charging pad with Kickstand

The Uolo Volt 15W Magnetic Wireless Charging pad with Kickstand is one of the most useful wireless chargers on the market. The biggest feature of this charger is the kickstand, which allows you to prop up your device while it charges. This is a useful feature, not only because for viewing but on a nightstand where you can quickly glance at your device instead of picking it up.

Out of the 10 chargers that we’ve tested, only 3 have kickstands but only the Uolo Volt had decent charge speeds.

Best Phone Grips For The iPhone 14

In a time before MagSafe, getting a phone grip was tied to the version of your device. Most were semi-permanent or were built directly into the case. With MagSafe, you can keep using the same grip over and over again as MagSafe hasn’t changed in the last three years.

In our scoring system, the PopWallet+ takes the top spot because it’s a phone grip and a wallet. For this section, we’re going to focus on non-wallet MagSafe phone grips.

Top Pick - Rhinoshield GripMax and GripMini

Rhinoshield just recently came out with these grips. And they are stellar. The GripMax and GripMini are incredibly comfortable. The grip spreads the weight across multiple fingers so you don’t end up with finger fatigue. When using these grips horizontally, the GripMax is slightly more clumsy than the Grip Mini.

The standout feature of the GripMax is the stand. It works in both landscape and portrait modes and is relatively stable. The cherry on top of this grip sundae is the ability to do custom prints on the back of the grip.

The one downside that we’ve discovered is that the magnetic connection between the device and grip needs to be a tad stronger. And we think Rhinoshield needs to add some sort of rubberized coating on the back to minimize the twisting of the grip on the back.

Mobile Reviews Eh Score:
4.5/5

PROS

CONS

Runner Up #1- PopGrip

PopGrip is one of our favorite MagSafe accessories. It just works. The PopGrip is essentially a PopSocket mounted on a plate with MagSafe magnets.

Our phone feels secure while using the grip, and it’s easy to take off when we don’t need it. The strength of the MagSafe connection between grip and device is very strong. You can easily hold your iPhone 14 by the PopSocket and shake vigorously without having to worry about the iPhone coming off.

And being able to customize each grip has been the cherry on top of this MagSafe Phone Grip sundae.

There isn’t much that we can complain about with PopGrip. The only thing we’ve noticed from our usage over the last year was the finish on the back is starting to come off.

PROS

CONS

Runner up #2 LoveHandle Pro

The LoveHandle Pro is one of the most comfortable grips to use. The band is wide, loose enough to fit two fingers easily, and best of all, it’s customizable. The LoveHandle Pro also functions as a stand for both portrait and landscape modes.

If you’ve got restless fingers, you’re going to love that it also clicks. The downside is that this phone grip is semi-permanent which means you can’t use MagSafe with it. We think LoveHandle shouldn’t totally think about making a MagSafe phone grip version.

Best Screen Protectors For The iPhone 14

To figure out what the best iPhone 14 screen protectors are, we ranked each screen protector based on, impact protection, the strength of the oleophobic coating, the quality of the adhesive, quality of installation tools, and the hardness of the screen protector.

Top Pick - Shellrus Sapphire Screen Protector

When it comes to iPhone screen protectors,  we found ourselves gravitating to the Shellrus Sapphire Screen Protector. It is a piece of synthetic sapphire which will never scratch. Most screen protectors crack because of scratches that occur over time which will not happen with the Shellrus Sapphire screen protector.

Shellrus Sapphire Screen Protector  is one of the few products for the iPhone 14 that’s actually rated to a hardness of 9H on the moh’s scale (not the graphite scale that everybody else uses), so go ahead, do your worst to it.

The biggest downside of this product is that each screen protector basically has to be grown in a lab so they’re very expensive. But worth it from our opinion.

PROS

CONS

Runner Up #1 - Zagg XTR

We were surprised by the Zagg Glass XTR as prior to the XTR, every Zagg product that we used was only average despite a high sticker price. Zagg is perhaps the king of marketing fluff as they’ll have products using the word “Sapphire” in it despite not having any sapphire glass in the product.

The Zagg Glass XTR looks to be a product that somehow fuses double-tempered glass with D3O, an impact material. This combination provided some of the best impact protection that we’ve seen for non-glass screen protectors.

This protection, coupled with a better than average oleophobic coating, blue light filtration and excellent install tools makes it one of the best screen protectors you can get for the iPhone 14.

Mobile Reviews Eh Score:
4/5

PROS

CONS

Runner Up #2 - FloLab NanoArmor

If you’ve been a regular visitor of this site, you know we love FloLab. They make great glass but the Zagg XTR was just a tad stronger. FloLab’s NanoArmor is of better quality than Belkin glass you get from the Apple store but at a fraction of the price.

FloLab includes all the necessary installation tools and frames to ensure a perfect install and is one of the few companies that uses an anti-dust adhesive to eliminate the possibility of ruining your screen protector with a dread white spec.

For non-glass alternatives, check out the Rhinoshield 3D impact and Mous Hybrid Glass. Both of these products will offer an incredibly amount of impact protection so if you’re really into dropping your iPhone 14 screen first, maybe get one of these.

Best MagSafe Car Mounts For The iPhone 14

For MagSafe car mounts, we ranked all the products that we purchased based on the charge speeds, charge temperatures, the level of adjustability, the strength of the MagSafe connection, and bonus features.

One of the things that we noticed was certain manufacturers were claiming to provide 15W of wireless charging for the iPhone 14. The hardware in the MagSafe car charger might be capable of 15W of wireless charging but unless the product is “Made For MagSafe”, the iPhone 14 will cap it to 7.5W.

If you need a full breakdown, check out our Top 10 MagSafe Car Charger post.

Top Pick - iOttie Velox

@mobilereviewseh

The iOttie Velox is an amazing car mount?

♬ original sound - MobileReviewsEh

We’ve been impressed with iOttie before but not to this level. The iOttie Velox is the best MagSafe car mount we tested. The first thing we noticed about the Velox was the build quality of the product. Most car mounts feel like cheap plastic but the Velox is covered in a matte finish. The vent mount is different uses a friction mount for adjustment rather than the typical ball and socket screw mount.

The iOttie Velox produces 7.5W of wireless charging, which is the norm for MagSafe compatible products, but it was the fastest 7.5W charger in the group. What was surprising was that it didn’t run as hot as other charge pads despite being the fastest.

The  iOttie Velox comes with a built-in power cable as well as a car adapter so you don’t need to worry about anything else. And the craziest thing? Is the price. It’s around 55 bucks which is only 5 dollars more than the average price of a MagSafe Car charger.

Mobile Reviews Eh Score:
4.25/5

PROS

CONS

Runner Up #1 - Anker Magnetic Wireless Car Mount

The Anker 613 MagGo was the most expensive MagSafe compatible car mount that we’ve tested. The Anker 613 MagGo was just a hair slower than the iOttie Velox but had a stronger magnetic connection between the charge pad and iPhone 14.

We found the adjustability of the Anker MagSafe car mount to be a bit limited. The majority of car mount can allow for windshield and dash mounting but not the Anker MagGo 613. The mount on works on the dash as the head doesn’t rotate enough to allow for windshield mounting.

One of the design features that we like is the integration of the power cable into the arm of the mount. It’s a clean-looking mount as you don’t have a cable dangling from the chargepad, rather it comes out the bottom of the mount.

We believe Anker can justify the price of the product because it includes a lot of extras such as a dash mounting plate, a dual port car adapter, power cable, and cable clips.

PROS

CONS

Runner Up #2 - Scosche ProCharge4

If you’re in a situation where you need to charge both MagSafe and non-MagSafe devices, you should check out the Scoshe MagicMount ProCharge4. It’s a MagSafe compatible car charger BUT Scoshe also includes pieces to mount non-MagSafe devices into the same charger. This flexibility is what makes this Scoshe product crack the Top 3 in our list. The cherry on top of this car charger is the extras that are included such as a dual-port car adapter, vent and dash mounts, cable clips, and a base mounting plate.

The downside is that the ProCharge4 offers slightly below average charge speeds, and the magnetic connection strength for the MagSafe portion is average. We also had a hard time finding this charger where we’re from, so keep that in mind.

Best Wireless Headphones For The iPhone 14

For wireless  bluetooth headphones, we’ve been getting all of Apple’s headphones, including the Beats lineup for the last few years. We’ve limited our testing to Apple headphones as the W1/H1/H2 chips offer functionality that other headphones do not even though they may sound better.

For headphones, ranked them based on price, usability, sound quality and sound isolation.

Top Pick - Beats Fit Pro

The Beats Fit Pro are our daily drivers for headphones. We can use them comfortably while working, while walking Monty, and while working out. There isn’t a situation where we have thought that we should have gotten a different pair of headphones.

The Beats Fit Pro is essentially a pair of AirPod Pros wrapped in a Beats charging case. It has all the features of the AirPod Pro (including the new customized Spatial Audio scanning feature) introduced in iOS16.

The standout feature for me is the wings on the earbuds. They sit in the ear deep enough to prevent them from falling out during any of the CrossFit-style workouts we’ve done with them. We honestly can’t think of a reason why anybody would choose any other pair of Apple headphones over the Beats Fit Pro.

Mobile Reviews Eh Score:

PROS

CONS

Runner Up #1 - Apple Airpods Gen 3

We were pleasantly surprised with the update on the third generation of AirPods. We personally like the AirPods Gen 3 over the AirPods Pro because of the fit. The new AirPods fit deeper into the ear, improving the sound isolation without having that “plugged” ear feeling with the in-ear design of the AirPod Pro. And because of the fit, these newer AirPods sound better than the older ones.

We didn’t have much success with the AirPods Gen 3 while working out, as they kept popping out after a few box jumps or skips would result in the buds creeping out of my ears.

Out of all the headphones that Apple produces, we think the AirPods lineup is the only non-in earbuds that they have.

Mobile Reviews Eh Score:
3.75/5

PROS

CONS

Runner Up #2 - Beats Studio Buds

We’re pretty sure Beats Studio Buds are just hamstrung Apple AirPods Pro. Not sure why these exist as they have all the major features as the Apple AirPods Pros minus the Active Noise Cancellation. Great for consumers, though.

The only biggest difference with the Beats Studio Buds is the lack of any W1 or H1 chip. It has Beat’s own chip that seems to mimic most of the usability features of the H1 chip like having a notification show up at the bottom of the screen when it connects to your device.

Accessing the buds is annoying; they are hard to pull out of the case. Placing the buds back into the case is awkward as we often put the wrong bud into the wrong hole. The other feature that’s missing is wireless charging. These headphones can only be charged via USB C.

The Studio Buds doesn’t sync with your iCloud account (would you even notice), audio sharing is missing, and the automatic switching between devices doesn’t occur as well.

Best Lightning Headphones For The iPhone 14

Seriously, when will Apple get rid of the Lightning port? For those looking for a pair of lightning headphones, we tested a handful and based our rankings on sound quality, mic quality, fit, and price.

Top Pick - SkullCandy Set

@mobilereviewseh

As an elder millinial, I"m too old to buy things with the word Skull and Candy #tech #apple

♬ original sound - MobileReviewsEh

If your like a heavier bass to your music, go with SkullCandy Set. It is a decent-sounding pair of headphones with a decent mic. The mic performs incredibly when used as a pseudo TikTok mic.

If you use the mic normally, our first runner-up, Apple EarPods, is better. The only other thing to note is that the mic sits on the left side of the user and not the right.

Mobile Reviews Eh Score:
4/5

PROS

CONS

Runner Up #1 - Apple EarPods

The Apple EarPods are the best all-around pair of headphones. They don’t sound as good as the SkullCandy Set as everything sounds flatter but the mic is good at all distances. If you’re tired of messing around with batteries or loosing an AirPod bud, then your best bet is to get a set of Apple EarPods. And they’re not expensive if relation to all the other products that we’ve tested.

PROS

CONS

Runner Up #2 - UGreen In-Ear

The UGreen Lightning In-Ear headphones were the best sounding headphones we tested. The sound was full and balanced and honestly sounded better than most of Apple’s own wireless headphones.

The earbuds are incredibly small and a bit annoying to put into your ear. The last thing that we noticed is that the mic is incredibly tinny. Don’t plan on taking any calls with this pair of headphones.

Best Phone Cases For The iPhone 14

We’ve tested a ton of iPhone 14 cases. Unlike the other sections in this roundup, we can’t just give you just three options as everybody seems to have a certain preference for the type of cases they want to use. So we’re going to give you recommendations for the best overall iPhone 14 case, thin iPhone 14 cases and a budget option

Best Overall Case For the iPhone 14

Casetify Ultra Impact

Mobile Reviews Eh Score:
4.5/5

For our best overall case, we recommend either a Mous Limitless 5.0 or if you want a customizable clear case, the Casetify Ultra Impact. Both of these cases utilize three different types of materials for protection, which means you can drop your iPhone from daily use.

The Mous Limitless 5.0 is the newest version of the Limitless case. With this iteration, Mous adds two features that improves the usability of the iPhone 14. The first is the addition of floating buttons which provides a better button response than the previous LImitless 4.0 version. The second is the addition of a grip strip that unlike other cases, is angled to guide your phone towards your palm. These two features a subtle and make a great case even better.

The Casetify Ultra Impact, on the other hand,is incredibly useful as the corners act as kickstands in your palm. Casetify has updated the finish on the bumpers for the iPhone 14 version. The edges of the Ultra Impact are made from TPU and aren’t extremely sticky so it’s not going to pull on your pockets much. The tops and bottoms of the cases flare out provide better screen protection for the front and raise the back to minimize’s scratches to the clear back.

Honestly, with these two cases, all you have to worry about is buying another iPhone because your iPhone is going to be well protected you won’t have to worry about it.

Best Thin Case For the iPhonE 14

Caudabe Sheath

Mobile Reviews Eh Score:
4/5

Pitaka Fusion Weaving

Mobile Reviews Eh Score:
4/5

When it comes to thin cases, our recommendation would be either the Caudabe Sheath if you’re looking for a thin protective case or a Pitaka Fusion Weaving case. The Caudabe Sheath has an unbeatable finish that really sits well in your hand. Despite being a thin case, the Sheath doesn’t have really loose edges and is MagSafe compatible. We look at case edges are they are an indication of how well an iPhone 14 will stay in a case during a drop. Looser it is, the higher chance it falls out. This is not the case for the Caudabe Sheath.

For something even thinner, it’s hard to beat the Pitaka Fusion Weaving. Most carbon/aramid fiber cases look sterile but with the Pitaka Fusion Weaving, there’s a pop of color that just makes the case look different. Pitaka has added a bit of chamfering the edge of the case so it makes your iPhone feel even thinner. If you’re careful with your device, these ultra-thin, MagSafe compatible cases are just awesome.

Best Budget-friendly Case

Phone Rebel

Mobile Reviews Eh Score:
5/5

For budget-conscious buyers, our suggestion would be to go with a Phone Rebel case. The latest iteration doesn’t have the same protection as the Mous or Casetify cases but they do include FloLab Screen protectors so it’s a very cost-effective product.

The edges of the Phone Rebel Frosted and normal case have an extremely tapered edge that makes the iPhone feel almost rounded.
