In terms of protection, this single-layered case isn’t drop rated though Incipio says the Flex2O material is shock absorbing. This material is found also in the DualPro and Octane but we personally don’t feel comfortable dropping a iPhone in this case from 4 ft. In the review, video, Aaron accidentally dropped it from about 3 ft so it will protect your iPhone from everyday bumps and drops.
In terms of dust protection, there aren’t any extra cutouts that will allow dust and debris to reach the iPhone and the stretch and tear resistance materials will also keep the iPhone safe from dust and debris over a longer period of time. The edges of the case are quite high and work well with other screen protectors.

In terms of handling, the NGP isn’t great for two reasons. The first is that the buttons on the case are a little tough out of the box though Chris V on Twitter said that the buttons get better over time though Ron Jr said the buttons are tough. From our perspective, the button response is quite similar to the DualPro and is way better than the Phenom and Octane but isn’t as easy to use like the UAG.
The second reason revolves how easy this case will slip out of your hand. Now, if this was the only Incipio case that we have, we wouldn’t complain as much but we know that Incipio has the materials and ability to make it grippier. The Incipio Octane has a nice textured edge to enhance the grip and the DualPro has an outer shell that really helps with the handling of your iPhone. These two reasons bring down the score of the NGP in terms of handling. Screen accessibility, like most other iPhone cases is great. No issues with it at all.
